On August 1 at 11.14 the first of 30 wells was spudded on the Johan Castberg field in the Barents Sea.
The drilling is carried out by the winter-adapted drilling rig Transocean Enabler, utilising TRANSCO 17 1/2" x 26" x 36" x 7 Cutter Integral Body Hole Openers (Boulder Buster) with TRANSCO 10” T25 Patented Field Replaceable TCI cutters.
